Before you wait on hold for support, try these three golden rules of IT. They fix 90% of connectivity issues instantly.

Step 1: The Power Cycle

It's a cliché for a reason. Turn off your router at the wall socket. Count to 30 Mississippi. Turn it back on. This clears the router's memory (RAM) and forces it to re-establish a fresh connection with the Sky Digital exchange.

Step 2: Check Your Frequency

Ensure you are connected to the 5GHz WiFi name (SSID) if you are in the same room. 2.4GHz is often crowded by neighbors' signals, microwaves, and bluetooth devices, making it slow and jittery.

Step 3: Background Culprits

Is your phone backing up photos? Is Steam downloading a game update? Is Windows Updating? Use task manager to check if a single device is hogging the entire bandwidth.

Still Stuck?

If you've tried all the above and the red LOS light is blinking on your router, it might be a fiber cut.
